Can I use the Ergobaby Adapt with my newborn baby?
The Ergobaby Adapt baby carrier can be used with your newborn meeting the minimum weight and height requirements, in the front carry position facing you. Your newborn baby must weigh 7 lbs minimum (3.2 kg) and be at least 20 inches tall (50.8 cm).
Does the Ergobaby Adapt have a baby hood?
Yes, the Adapt has a hood tucked in a small pocket undernearth the head and neck pillow. When in use, it provides protection from the wind and sun, privacy for nursing baby, and a shade for sleeping baby.
How many ways can I carry my baby in the Adapt baby carrier?
The Adapt baby carrier has three positions you can use to carry baby:
1. Front Carry Inward Facing
2. Hip Carry
3. Back Carry
The Ergobaby Adapt Carrier is not designed to carry a baby in the front-outward position. Your baby's height and developmental milestones will determine the best mode to use.
Front Carry Inward Facing – Min. 7lbs / 3.2kg and 20 in / 50.8 cm to Max. 45lbs / 20.4kg
Hip Carry - Baby can sit upright unassisted and a min. weight of 17.2 lbs / 7.8 kg and max weight of 45 lbs / 20.4 kg. This is usually around 6 months.
Back Carry - Baby can sit upright unassisted and a min. weight of 17.2 lbs / 7.8 kg and max weight of 45 lbs / 20.4 kg.
